Experience Zen Beach
Koh Phangan has a reputation of being a party island, and its full moon parties are world famous, but in the northwest of the island is the small community of Sri Thanu, a conscious community with many yoga studios, vegetarian restaurants, and Zen Beach.
Sri Thanu is about a 15-minute drive north of Thong Sala. Experiencing a sunset at Zen Beach is very unique. The sunsets are often beautiful. The whole vibe of the place is unlike anywhere else I’ve experienced. Every evening people flock to Zen Beach to enjoy the sunset and the music. There are usually a few open jams going on so bring your instrument and join in. Just before sunset things usually start to quiet down. If it’s a good sunset it can get amazingly quiet while people take pause to enjoy the moment. After sunset, the music starts again.
